Rocksteady has finally revealed its next title and it’s a Suicide Squad game

By Keith MitchellAugust 7, 2020

After months and years of teasing its upcoming title, WB Games/RockSteady Studios took to Twitter to let the world know they’re ready to talk. In this tweet, the following is shown “Target Locked – #DCFanDome – August 22. #Suicidesquadgame”.

Following that is an image of DC Comic’s Superman, with the Suicide Square logo painted over his head, as if he’s being targetted.

What does this all mean? Well, for starters, someone has an issue with Supes, but what else is new? What is new is that WB Games is finally going to reveal more information on its upcoming superhero title, on August 22, 2020. This also happens to be when DC Comics is hosting a 24-hour event for its fans, DC Fan Dome. It makes sense that we’d find out more about the game then. Here’s to hoping for a trailer with some gameplay.

That said, I know most fans were hoping for another Batman title, but this has potential as well. Just because it says Suicide Squad, doesn’t mean we couldn’t see more DC Comic properties in it as well. Fingers crossed, and we’ll see what happens on August 22nd.

Now, this is interesting. We already have Marvel’s Avengers being released this year, now we have another star-studded team that’s all about kicking some butt, but don’t have the same morals. Talk about your parallels.

This story is developing…
