Get a closer look at Star Wars: Squadrons on Gamescom Opening Night Live

By Poch SaldanaAugust 26, 2020

Star Wars Squadron is going to be one of the many featured games for the Gamescom Opening Night Live presentation slated for August 27 at 7 PM BST / 2 PM ET / 11 AM PT.

Announced earlier this year, Star Wars: Squadrons looks to be a spiritual successor to the beloved Star Wars: Rogue Squadron with a heavy emphasis on spaceship-on-spaceship dog fights. EA gave us an in-depth look at some of the game’s mechanics last June and it seems to be a worthy successor from a gameplay standpoint. Little is known about the game’s campaign mode or story aside from a short premise so that might be something to look out for in tomorrow’s presentation.

Star Wars: Squadrons is being developed by Motive Studios, who previously helped in the development of Star Wars: Battlefront II, and is set to launch on October 2 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Big fan of games, writing, and writing about games! Two things Poch will always stand by--the Vita was ahead of its time and the world is a better place with a new Rhythm Heaven on the horizon.
