Final Fantasy 7 Remake Has Shipped and Sold 3.5 Million Worldwide in 3 Days

By William "Shadowz" KokApril 21, 2020

Confirmed by Square Enix, Final Fantasy 7 Remake has sold and amazing 3.5 millions units worldwide in 3 days. That includes shipped and digital sales.

The good news is presented as followed:

We're proud to announce we shipped and digitally sold over 3.5M copies of #FinalFantasy VII Remake in 3 days! 🥳

All of us would like to raise our Buster Swords to say THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us during launch, we hope you’re all enjoying the game! #FF7R pic.twitter.com/4m93Op7O9I

We all knew that this game would sell big. But 3.5 million copies in the span of three days is just mind boggling. Accounting with the current world events, it is likely a factor that contributed to boost in digital sales.

A game that has been asked for over a decade and the fans that have endured till now. It is amazing that a portion of the sales proves how many  there are. What I’m more curious is how many of them are newcomers or people who are playing Final Fantasy 7 for the first time. Speaking as one, I never really got around playing the original game. I was born at the end of 1990 so it was a little late for me. I had an enjoyable time talking with my brother who has played the original. He gave perspective on what was new and what was retained from the original. I just earned the platinum trophy of the game and completed the play log in a little over 100 hours. You will get your money’s worth in multiple playthroughs.

Overall, it is well deserved and hears hoping we can expect the final sales when they receive further sales numbers.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is available now for PS4.
