Dragon Ball Z Kakarot is about to get a bit more Super

By Keith MitchellMarch 23, 2020

While Dragon Ball Z Kakarot was an amazing game in its own right, there’s only so many times the origin story can be told. Truth be told, we wanted something a bit more Super, which we mentioned in our review, and I’m sure fans of the anime series and game can attest to that. Well, looks like Bandai Namco agrees, as they’ve teased exactly what we’ve been looking forward to. Yep, Dragon Ball Super is on the way to DBZ Kakarot, with a few familiar faces.

Both Super Saiyan God Goku and Vegeta will be playable,  while Beerus and Whis will also be added to the game. We don’t know if the latter will be playable at some point. New attacks and techniques will also be included, as well as a new music pack.

Hopefully, these aren’t the only characters that will be making their way into the game. I’d love to see a few more Super faces, along with some new story content that is directly or indirectly from the anime series.

Here's the DLC update you've been waiting for coming to #DBZKakarot!

There wasn’t any mention about the new content being included with the Dragon Ball Z Kakarot season pass ($24.99), or how much this would be priced. I’d imagine we’ll know more about that as we get closer to a release date. Speaking of that release date, all Bandai Namco is telling us is Spring 2020.

Dragon Ball Z Kakarot is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
