Mortal Kombat Kollection Online Rated in Europe

By Henry BuehlerJanuary 22, 2020

The HD trilogy of the Mortal Kombat series, Mortal Kombat Kollection Online seems to have resurfaced after supposedly being canceled.

The description is listed by the European rating board for video games, PEGI, and states it includes updated art, gameplay, and online features that revive the “klassics”.

Danny Huynh, Concept Artist and UI Artist at Blind Squirrel Games confirmed that the project was canceled back in April of 2019. He stated that his job was to, “set the quality bar for the UI and FX while maintaining the look of the trilogy of the series.” He also mentioned that the collection would feature a “Krypt” mode that added a new way to play the trilogy through changing how players would interact and move.

Lastly, he shared some screenshots that include menus and assets for special moves.

Neither Warner Brothers Entertainment or NetherRealm Studios have announced or confirmed the project.
