Nioh 2 Releases March 13th, Beta This Weekend

By Henry BuehlerOctober 30, 2019

Team Ninja’s samurai Souls-like sequel, Nioh 2 is set for release on March 13th this year and is receiving an open beta this weekend from November 1st to November 10th. Much like the first game, Nioh 2 and it’s beta have only been announced for PlayStation 4. While there has been no confirmation, Nioh 2 will possibly head to PC at a later date.

In a post on Playstation Blog by Fumihiko Yasuda, the game’s producer, he gives out new information on the new character customization and the Interim-a safe zone that lets you test out weapons and moves, similar to Monster Hunter World.

Yasuda also touches on how Nioh 2 further draws inspiration from Japanese history and culture. The beta will include stages based on Sunomata castle and will feature a gorgeous environment with beautiful autumn leaves-highlighting one of Japan’s “distinct” seasons.

If you want to check out Nioh on Playstation 4, the original has also been added to November’s free games with PlayStation Plus. You can check out our review of Nioh, here!
