Fairy Tail

It was announced by Koei Tecmo via a teaser website that Hiro Mashima’s Fairy Tail franchise will be receiving an RPG game on consoles in 2020! The game will be available for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. For those worried about this being a Japan-only release, Koei Tecmo has confirmed that the West will receive the game also in 2020!

GUST Studios will be the ones behind the project while Fairy Tail creator Hiro Mashima will be supervising the creation of the game. As of now, there is no word on the story, combat system, or anything; however, a teaser trailer was released which shows off some cel-shaded cut scenes.

You can view that trailer below:

The primary manga has ended and the television anime is in its final season. An official sequel manga, Fairy Tail: The 100 Year Quest, is currently publishing

Demons, dark wizards, dragons, and cats – players will find it all as they start your journey in the land of Fiore. In FAIRY TAIL, wizards play through the adventures of Natsu Dragneel and Lucy Heartfilia, as well as other eccentric members of the Fairy Tale mage guild, on a fun-filled and thrilling quest. GUST Studios is creating the game under the supervision of author Hiro Mashima, promising a faithful recreation for the Fairy Tale world and its unusual inhabitants; including everything from magic to its iconic characters.

More info on the upcoming title will be released at the 2019 Tokyo Game Show 2019 on September 15, 2019. There, Koei Tecmo will host the Fairy Tale Special Stage panel.
