Crisis On Infinite Earths Reveals Kingdom Come Superman Look

By Todd BlackSeptember 27, 2019
Crisis on Infinite Earths

Crisis on Infinite Earths continues to build and grow and make DC Comics fans of all ages geek out. And for those who know the legendary Elseworlds story “Kingdom Come”, this reveal is for you. Because at San Diego Comic-Con this year, Brandon Routh (who plays The Atom in the CW’s Legends of Tomorrow) revealed that he’d be also playing a version of Clark Kent. Specifically, the Kingdom Come version of the character.

And now, we have an official look at the outfit and look of Routh as Kingdom Come Superman.

As you can see, the look of both Routh and the costume looks very much like Kingdom Come Superman. Including the greyed out hair and the Superman “S” logo.

The Kingdom Come storyline featured a Superman who retired after the Joker killed Lois Lane, and he came back when the next generation of heroes were more violent and abused justice. It’s revered as one of the greatest stories DC Comics ever told, especially in regards to the art done by the legendary Alex Ross.

It’s unclear how much of Routh’s Superman will play a part in the 5-part crossover. However, we do know that there will be at least three different Supermen in the crossover, including the Arrowverse’s Tyler Hoechlin, and the return of Smallville’s Tom Welling.
