Are you looking forward to Way Forwards upcoming 2D beat em up, River City Girls? Are you also at or heading to EVO 2019? If so, then you’re in luck as the game will be available for some hands-on at the event.

Just head on over to the Arc System Works booth and check it out. Make sure you bring a friend if possible. For those who couldn’t make it out to EVO, not to worry. I’m sure we’ll see some footage of the game make its way onto YouTube before the weekend is over.

Attention, fighting-game fans! If you happen to be attending EVO 2019, feel free to stop by @ArcSystemWorksU's booth to go hands-on with River City Girls! Better yet, bring a friend for co-op fun! pic.twitter.com/Ss73GmLnYt

River City Girls introduces two new characters; Kyoko and Misako. Two completely new characters who know how to handle their self on the mean streets. Apparently, they’re not too thrilled that someone kidnapped their boyfriends, Kunio and Riki, the original characters from River City Ransom. So what’s a girl to do? Well, get back their man as they battle through six stages of chaos.

The duo will have access to a multitude of weapons, combos and plenty of side quests to keep you busy. There’s even going to be some guest appearances from characters from other River City games to help you on your way. Punch, kick, grab, throw and whatever else you need to do to get kick some butt.

River City Girls releases on September 6, 2019, for the PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. I’m looking forward to it, are you?
