Devil May Cry 5 May Be Coming to Xbox Game Pass

By Diego PerezAugust 3, 2019
Devil May Cry 5

The fifth entry in the Devil May Cry series may be coming to Xbox Game Pass soon if an Xbox Store mixup is to be believed.

First spotted on the Xbox One subreddit, an advertisement on the Xbox Store shows the game as “now available on Game Pass.” The ad has shown up on multiple people’s dashboards (including mine), and it is still up on the Xbox Store if you’d like to verify on your own Xbox One.

Devil May Cry 5

This wouldn’t be the first time a relatively new third party title has made its way to Xbox Game Pass so soon after launch. Metro Exodus was added to the service in June, only four months after its initial release in February. Devil May Cry 5 released in March, giving it only a few months on the market before being added to the Game Pass library.

Considering how big of an announcement Devil May Cry 5 hitting Game Pass is, this was most likely planned to be announced at this year’s Gamescom. Xbox’s presence at Gamescom 2019 will kick off with an episode of Inside Xbox on August 19 before the show opens on August 20. Inside Xbox usually has some Game Pass news, and Devil May Cry 5 was probably going to be featured in the upcoming episode.

We here at The Outerhaven loved Devil May Cry 5 (check out our review to see just how much) and we can’t wait for the game to reach new audiences through Xbox Game Pass.
