Astroneer Lands on PS4 This November Alongside Physical Release

Astroneer

The interplanetary survival sandbox game Astroneer is finally making its way to PlayStation 4 on November 15 with a physical version coming on the same day.

Astroneer first debuted in early access on Steam and Xbox One (thanks to the Xbox Game Preview program) in late 2016. The game saw a 1.0 release in February of this year, and it hit Xbox Game Pass on both console and PC earlier this summer. Now PlayStation 4 owners will be able to get their hands on this colorful space adventure in a few months.

Astroneer provides players with a galaxy of planets to explore, giving them complete control over the landscape using a Terrain Tool to excavate and elevate the land and collect valuable resources along the way. “The curious minds exploring, terraforming, and unearthing every corner of the Astroneer galaxy make for a collective pioneering spirit echoing that of space travel itself,” said Joe Tirado, Communications Director at System Era Softworks. “We are thrilled for PlayStation 4 pioneers to join this universe and share amazing stories from the stars.”

The PlayStation 4 version of Astroneer will feature all content already available in the Xbox One and PC versions as well as a PlayStation exclusive suit and visor. Pre-ordering the game on the PlayStation Store will net you a PS4 theme.

Prior to Astroneer‘s release on PlayStation 4, the game will receive new content in the form of the Explorer Update, which is slated to hit Xbox One and PC on September 4. The Explorer Update brings some highly-requested features to Astroneer including a jetpack and an in-game camera for taking photos.

Astroneer will be available on PlayStation 4 on November 15, and you can pre-order the game now on the PlayStation Store. Details regarding retail pre-orders aren’t available at the moment, but more will be announced in the coming weeks. If you can’t wait to get your hands on Astroneer, the game is already available on Xbox One and PC and is included with Xbox Game Pass.
