Japanese Band ROOKiEZ is PUNK’D Announces Indefinite Hiatus

By Josh PiedraMarch 14, 2019
ROOKiEZ is PUNK'D

On the heels of Japanese female music group Kalafina breaking up, it was announced by their official website that JRock band ROOKiEZ is PUNK’D will be going on indefinite hiatus. The group intends to leave its current management after their concert at Shibuya Club Quattro. That concert is scheduled to take place on May 31.

The decision to leave their management stemmed from issues that stopped the band’s progress. The band members held discussions about these issues and decided it was best for them to go on a hiatus.

ROOKiEZ is PUNK’D provided openings and endings for several television anime shows such as Durarara!!, Ao no Exorcist, Bleach, and Yowmushi Pedal. The band has released 10 singles and 3 albums during their time together. They were also credited on 3 anime soundtracks as “participating work.”
