Anime Rapid Pulse for the Week of 2/16/19

By Josh PiedraFebruary 16, 2019
Anime

Welcome to the Anime Rapid Pulse for the week of February 16, 2019! This is a roundup of anime news stories that take care of themselves by the headlines alone. Not all news stories need paragraphs upon paragraphs to get the point across, but sometimes they are too important to be ignored. The Anime Rapid Pulse solves this by just rapid firing those news stories to you in one convenient post!

  • Battle Angel Alita earned $8.7 million on opening day in the U.S.
  • DanMachi second season slated for Summer anime season premiere
  • Maou-sama: Retry! anime set to premiere in July
  • Yokai Chiitan anime has been delayed until further notice, will not premiere on April 3
  • Beyblade Gachi Burst set to premiere on April 5
  • Joshi Kausei set to premiere on April 8
  • Nobunaga Sensei no Osanazuma set to premiere on April 8
  • Over Drive Girl 1/6 – Amazing Stranger set to premiere on… you guessed it, April 8!
  • King of Prism: Shiny Seven Stars set to premiere on… I think you know when
  • Mix Baseball set to premiere on…. April 8?? Nope! Not this time, but close!  April 6
  • Final Fantasy VX: Episode Ardyn is now on Crunchyroll
  • The Royal Tutor anime film is also now on Crunchyroll
  • Laura Bailey will voice Tohru in the 2019 Fruits Basket anime
  • Eric Vale will return to voice Yuki in 2019 Fruits Basket anime! (This announcement feels like my birthday! #DesertPunk)
  • I think this is the first Rapid Pulse where a manga hasn’t ended… yet, because…
  • Black Panther manga reached its climax
  • Sweet 16 manga reached its climax
  • From Five to Nine manga announced it’s nearing climax
  • That was close! Phew… all those climaxes, though. Giggity.
  • Finally, I’ve lost count but I’m well over 500 listens to the TV Size version of “Touch Off” by UVERworld. I just thought you’d like to know that I have problems
  • Oh, and I guess I should mention that the full version of “Touch Off” comes out February 27.

That’s going to wrap things up for this week. News headlines were compiled from Anime News Network and Crunchyroll
