The Dark Pictures Anthology is a series of standalone horror games being developed by Supermassive Games, the same studio that brought you Until Dawn on the PlayStation 4. The first entry to be released within the anthology is titled “Man of the Medan”. This supernatural horror takes place out at sea aboard a ghost-ship adrift in the South Pacific. And focuses on five unfortunate stowaways whose chance of survival is reliant on the player’s decision making. However, do well to remember that every action has a repercussion, as the trailer makes certain to reiterate.
Anything taking place out at sea is already unnerving to me; a ghostly vessel set adrift with supernatural horror onboard is just upping the ante. A shark or something of that nature would be nice to add to the overall fear factor of the game. And I did notice a brief scene involving two characters underwater…
The Dark Pictures Anthology’s “Man of the Medan”, will be releasing sometime in 2019, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
