I was joking when I said Nintendo should release a Fortnite Switch bundle

This practically prints money

When Nintendo had announced that Fornite was coming to the Switch, I joked that we’d eventually see a Switch bundle. I mean, they were practically making bundles out of everything. We’ve had a Super Mario Odyssey bundle, Mario Tennis Aces bundle, not to mention the two Pokemon: Let’s Go! bundles and the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Bundle. Which sure is a lot, so why not add one more, right?

I was joking, Nintendo. You didn’t really have to announce a Fortnite Switch bundle. But they went ahead and did it anyway.

Scheduled to be released on Oct. 5, this Fortnite Switch bundle will include a Switch with the neon blue/red Joycons, a download code for Fornite, 1000 V-bucks, and an exclusive item; the Double Helix set. This set includes a unique character outfit, back bling, glider, and a pickaxe.

This new bundle will cost the same amount as a standard Switch, at $299.99. So you’re getting the game and a few other goodies for free. Definitely not a bad deal for anyone looking to pick up a Nintendo Switch. I mean, sure, why not pack one of the most popular games with a system that sells like hotcakes. It’s a win/win.

If you pre-order this bundle today over at Gamestop.
