Mega Man X Legacy Collection Trailers Unveiled

By Josh PiedraJune 1, 2018
Mega Man X Legacy Collection

PlayStation Japan began streaming the trailers for the upcoming Mega Man X Legacy Collection (Rockman X Anniversary Collection). There are two trailers, one for each game, that are extremely similar to one another. The trailers do feature remixed boss battle themes from Mega Man X and Mega Man X5 respectively.

Mega Man X Legacy Collection is set to release in North America on July 24 and in Japan on July 26. The game is slated for release on Playstation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The games can be purchased separately in their digital formats or they can be purchased in a physical format for the Playstation 4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch. While there will be physical versions, the Nintendo Switch version is not fully physical. The Playstation 4 and Xbox One versions will have a physical disc for each collection; however, the Nintendo Switch version will only have a cartridge for Legacy Collection 1 and a download code for Legacy Collection 2 which weighs in around 3.6 GB.

Collection 1 features Mega Man X1-X4 while Collection 2 features X5-X8.

Special features include an Art Museum, Merchandise Catalog, Soundtracks, Remixed Tracks, Original Graphic/High Definition Filters, game trailers for all eight X games, The Day of Sigma OVA that was from Mega Man Maverick Hunter X for the PSP, and the new X Challenge Mode where you can battle two maverick bosses at the same time. The X Challenge mode also has a story mode option in addition to just the challenges.
