E3 2018: NieR: Automata Is Finally Coming To The Xbox One

By Keith MitchellJune 10, 2018
NieR: Automata

Here’s yet another rumor that was making the rounds, that apparently has come true. Sadly, Square Enix has removed all information of it from its website. I guess this was posted a bit too soon and was likely going to be saved for the E3 2018 Xbox conference. Yes, NieR: Automata is coming to the Xbox One.

Silly Square Enix, you can’t hide things once it’s posted on the internet.

NieR: Automata will be available on June 26, 2018, and will be priced at $49.99. It will include the base game, the 3C3C1D119440927 DLC as well as several cosmetic items. Sadly, the game is receiving a digital-only release and will be called the NieR: Automata BECOME AS GODS edition. This essentially will be the complete version of the game.

  • Base NieR:Automata game ($59.99 value)
  • The 3C3C1D119440927 expansion DLC ($13.99 value)
  • Grimoire Weiss Pod
  • Retro Red Pod Skin
  • Retro Grey Pod Skin
  • Cardboard Pod Skin
  • The Machine Lifeform Mask Accessory

Update: Confirmed during the Microsoft E3 2018 conference that the game will be Xbox One X enhanced.

Sadly, since the post was removed and the wayback links don’t contain any images, we’ll have to wait for the official announcement. Which will be later today at 1PM PDT / 4PM EDT, during the Xbox conference.

Now, I’m glad to see this game is headed to the Xbox platform. It’s already out for PS4 and it was later released on the PC. However, we’re still waiting on that performance patch on the PC, that Square Enix said was coming and we still haven’t received it.

As for if the PlayStation 4 and PC will see this version of the game. I’m pretty sure we’ll see both platforms receive this as well. The game sold way better than Square Enix figured it would. It would be silly of them not to provide the updated game on either platform.
