Julz Chan’s Reaction Theater – Sword Art Online 1×01 “The World of Swords”

By Julius CantaraMay 31, 2018

Hello everyone and welcome back to another episode of Julz Chan’s Reaction Theater. If you’re not familiar with the show, it’s where our host, Julius Cantara, puts his own unique spin providing colorful commentary on popular (and unpopular) anime series. Today, Julz Chan takes a look at the virtual world of Sword Art Online with the very first episode, “The World of Swords.” The story follows Kirito, a beta-tester, who logs into the game known as Sword Art Online. Once in the game he explores the world of Aincrad, befriends a novice gamer, and shares his knowledge of the game. All seems fine until all the players realize they cannot log out of the game and are summoned by the game’s creator, Kayaba Akihiko. He informs the players that no one can log out of the game and if someone attempts to remove the NervGear or if a player dies in the game they die in real life. The only way out is to beat all 100 floors the game. Can Kirito and the other players complete all 100 floors and exit the game alive? One can only hope.

So sit back, relax, get your virtual headset, and let’s dive right into Sword Art Online. Be sure to leave any comments and/or feedback of show once you’re done watching!
