The Outerhaven YouTube Roundup December 10, 2017

We here at the Outerhaven want you to know us not only for our passions surrounding gaming, tech, television, movies, anime, manga, etc. Every week we’re going to deliver to you a list of videos we have been checking out while cyberloafing the internet. It gives you a chance to see another side to us, one that isn’t focused on covering the latest news or reviews. While this list will be largely safe for work, we must warn against things that may incite any phobias that you may have. Enjoy!

Liz’s Pick:

“I’m Tony Clifton.” There will never be another like him. Andrew Dice Clay was a character who eventually consumed Andrew Clay Silverstein. Unlike Silverstein, Kaufman went to great lengths to convince people he wasn’t Tony Clifton. He once had a friend perform as Tony Clifton so he could be a member of the audience, disproving the rumors. Be more like Andy Kaufman… who was delightfully weird.

Sara’s Pick:

Who doesn’t love a good acapella mashup? Shut up, you know you do. Featuring two of my favorite YouTube singers, Whitney Avalon and Peter Hollens, the song tasks you across Disney film new and old to hear some of the very best villain songs. That ending always gets me, and it’s worth injecting just a little darkness into this cheery holiday season.

Veronica’s Pick:

Will’s Pick:

While still growing, no matter what your opinion, you got to admit that Sonic games had some good music. One of the classics is Live And Learn by Crush 40. Perhaps it’s the edginess, or the simple lyrics, but it was a song that resonates with many 90s kids. At least for me. When I think of Sonic, I think of this song.

Josh’s Pick:

For my selection this week, I’m taking two of my loves and combining it into one: Anime x Hearthstone! So, everyone is familiar with the Heart of the Cards scene in Yu-Gi-Oh as well as its atrocious English dub. Be that as it may, someone took Hearthstone player Kripparian and imposed him into the scene along with game designer Ben Brode. This video came out in response to the absolutely TERRIBLE Priest card Purify. Hilarity ensued! This should be a video that all Anime and Hearthstone fans can enjoy.

Keith’s Pick:

The world of GUNDAM is vast, speculator and most importantly, fun. As a huge of Gundam, as well as someone who’s built his fair share of Gunpla, Gundam Build Fighters appeals to me. It gives an anime view into the world of Gunpla and this weeks episode of ‘GUNDAM BUILD FIGHTERS: BATTLOGUE’ is easily one of my favorites so far. Favorites Sei Iori and Tatsuya Yuuku put their newest Gunpla’s on the line and the battle that ensues is the stuff of.. well, Gundam battles. Sadly, it seems the Bandai and Sunrise are done with the series, so I’ll take whatever I can from Gundam Build Fighters.

That’s all for week’s roundup. Tune back in next week to see what we are sharing next!
