The Next Legend Of Zelda Game Is Being Worked On Right Now!

By Todd BlackDecember 18, 2017
Breath of The Wild Legend of Zelda

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was one of the most beautiful and masterful games ever created by Nintendo. It’s earned praise the world around, and continues to be a must-have on the Nintendo Switch. But, with the latest DLC for it, The Champions Ballad, now out, all eyes and thoughts are on the next entry in the series.

Well, according to Source Gaming, series producer Eiji Aonuma has confirmed that the next Legend of Zelda title is already underway.

This is exciting news for not just Switch owners, but for Nintendo fans in general. Aonuma noted that while Breath of the Wild was an amazing game, it wasn’t meant to be on Switch at first, and thus, he never got to use the system to its full potential. Not unlike what happened with Twilight Princess, and the result of that period was Skyward Sword, which many also consider a masterpiece.

So, what could the sequel/follow-up to Breath of the Wild be? Well, that is the question, isn’t it? Many feel that the team shouldn’t focus on Hyrule, and instead go to a different land so that the Hyrule of Breath of the Wild can stand proudly on its own for a while.

Either way, it will be years until we see its release…but it’s still fun to speculate. And we’ll be doing that on the next episode of the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast!
