Batman Ninja anime to debut in 2018

Batman Ninja

Batman Ninja (ニンジャバットマン Ninja Battoman) is an upcoming Japanese animated film directed by Junpei Mizusaki and produced by Warner Bros. The first trailer was a New York Comic Con exclusive, which has recently seen the light of day on Youtube. You can view the trailers (with English Subtitles) below.

The premise is that Batman is transported to Feudal Japan and must battle reimagined versions of his villains alongside his allies. Aiding the Dark Knight are Japanese versions of Nightwing, Red Hood, Red Robin, Robin, Alfred Pennyworth, and Catwoman. Villains confirmed to appear include the Joker, Harley Quinn, Penguin, Poison Ivy, Two-Face, Clayface, Deathstroke, and Gorilla Grodd. While Batman is not an actual Ninja in this anime but a Samurai, we’re not going to hold that against him.

Batman Ninja will be released on DVD and Blu-ray Disc sometime in 2018. It is also unknown if there is going to be an English dub of Batman Ninja, but going from these two trailers it’s not so bad watching in Japanese; especially with The Joker sounding so amazingly evil.
