Assassin’s Creed Origins PC Requirements Revealed

By Keith MitchellOctober 5, 2017

Ubisoft has just revealed the PC specs required for their upcoming title, Assassin’s Creed Origins.  This is hand for those who are looking forward to the title but aren’t sure if their PCs are up to the challenge of now. Below you’ll see those specs, so you can plan accordingly. In addition, the company has also announced that Origins will also include dynamic resolution rendering.

We’ve seen this in titles such as Forza Horizon 3 and Gears of War 4, where you dial in what frame rate you want to keep and the game will dynamically adjust the settings on the fly. All while trying to keep you at your dialed in frame rate. I haven’t seen this mentioned before and it’s nice to see that Ubisoft is going through the trouble to show the PC gaming community that they do care about the audience. Something that I find odd, as the signals that were given before seemed to be that Ubisoft was focused on making the consoles their priority for the game.

Only time will tell if this version of the game stacks up as being as good as the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, or even better.

Minimum Specs:

OS: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only)
PROCESSOR: Intel Core i5-2400s @ 2.5 GHz or AMD FX-6350 @ 3.9 GHz or equivalent
VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or AMD R9 270 (2048 MB VRAM with Shader Model 5.0 or better)
SYSTEM RAM: 6GB
Resolution: 720p
Video Preset: Lowest

Recommended Specs:

OS: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only)
PROCESSOR: Intel Core i7- 3770 @ 3.5 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz
VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 or AMD R9 280X (3GB VRAM with Shader Model 5.0 or better)
SYSTEM RAM: 8GB
Resolution: 1080p
Video Preset: High

Of course, if you are looking to go the 4K route, you may need to look at even higher specs. Assassin’s Creed Origins releases on October 27th, 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC/Windows. The title will also see an upgraded version for the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.
