Team Behind Yakuza Reveals New Game Based on Fist of the North Star Series

By Yhani JonesAugust 26, 2017

The same studio behind the popular Yakuza series have just announced a brand new game based on the Japanese series, Fist of the North Star, called Hokuto ga Gotoku, expected to release in Japan sometime in 2018 for the PlayStation 4.

Though this game will focus on the main character of the Fist of the North Star series, Kenshiro (voiced by Takaya Kuroda), the story will be different and be set in a location named Eden also know as “a city of miracles”.

Hokuto ga Gotoku will feature a combination of both adventure through explorations along the city of Eden and other potential areas, and action by Kenshiro with plenty of fighting with the Yakuza-like play spots.

Take a look at the action packed trailer below!

For fans of the Fist of the North Star series, I have a feeling that they are extremely excited to see a game based off of the shows protagonist. As someone who is not familiar with this show, checking out this trailer makes me want to learn more about the series and its characters.

If you are excited for Hokuto ga Gotoku to release in Japan and are even hopeful for a North American release, let us know in the comments below and be sure to come back to The Outerhaven for more Hokuto ga Gotoku news.
