If you were to ask a fan of Yu-Gi-Oh what monster would be the most recognizable, some of the answers you would get are any assortment of dragons, such as Kaiba’s Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Joey Wheeler’s (read that in a Brooklyn accent) Red-Eyes Black Dragon or Zane Truesdale’s Cyber Dragon. This October, the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME looks to celebrate some of these majestic creatures in their special holiday set: Legendary Dragon Decks, coming to stores on Friday, October 6th.
The set will consist of 153 cards encompassing 3 decks with 5 foil cards each. Each deck features a selection of these legendary dragons, including the most recent dragon from Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon. There will be 2 decks that consist of 40 cards with 11-card Extra Decks and 1 41-card Deck with a 10-Card Extra Deck. This deck will feature variant art of Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, and Starving Venom Fusion Dragon.
Legendary Dragons of Atlantis!
The powers of the Legendary Dragons of Atlantis – Timaeus, Critias, and Hermos – were sealed into Spell Cards, used by Yugi, Kaiba, and Joey to fight against Dartz and The Seal of Orichalcos! The Eye of Timaeus, The Fang of Critias, and The Claw of Hermos are well-loved by Duelists everywhere for their ability to Fusion Summon a wide variety of unique monsters using only one material! Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V’s Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon sparked a series of Dragons that covered the entire spectrum of Extra Deck monster types, and threw in a Ritual Monster for good measure. Adaptability is the defining feature of the “Odd-Eyes” strategy, starting from Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon’s dual nature as a way to search other Pendulum Monsters from your Deck and a way to end Duels in a flash with its double-damage ability.
