E3 2017: Project CARS 2 Gets A September 2017 Release Date

By Keith MitchellJune 8, 2017

Well, it is the final days before E3 2017 officially starts and we’ve already had several surprise announcements. So, what’s one more, right? Bandai Namco’s and Slightly Mad Studios, Project CARS 2, has a release date of September 22nd, 2017. Initially, the release date had been leaked but was recently confirmed with an official trailer being released by Bandai Namco.

I only hope that this time around, the game is playable using a gamepad. Yes, while racing wheels are the preferred, not everyone has access to those, especially those on consoles. The previous title was simply horrible, so here’s to hoping they made some adjustments this time around.

Project CARS 2 will be making its way to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. No word if the game will include any enhancements for either the PlayStation 4 Pro and Project Scorpio. But if I was a betting man, I’d say we should expect something for both consoles.

Did someone say Porsche’s? Well, yes, there will be quite a few of those in the game as well. Thank the racing gods that the Porsche license that was once held by EA, has expired. Now, these beauts are popping up everywhere. Yes, that’s a good thing.

Another racing game that’s being released alongside several big names such as Need For Speed Payback, Gran Turismo Sport and the unannounced but you know it’s coming Forza Motorsport 7, this is gong to be a good year for racing fans.

With E3 2017 right around the corner, several of us from the team will be in attendance at the event. We’ll definitely try to get some hands-on with the title and let you know how it feels.
