E3 2017 – Doom VFR and Fallout 4 VR Announced

By Yhani JonesJune 12, 2017

Bethesda’s show opened with cheerful music and fun visuals as Pete Hines, VP of the Bethesda Softworks, crossed the main stage. Here, he introduced to the crowd two popular titles that he can’t wait for us to experience in virtual reality using the HTC Vive and PlayStation VR headsets.

Fallout 4 VR was the first to be announced during the show and featured a new trailer displaying all of the exciting things you may have done in the game, but in an entirely different way!

With the whole world being fully explorable featuring new combat, crafting and building systems, players should be happy to know that this is not just an experience but a fully reimagined version for VR from start to finish. This includes hundreds of locations, characters and quests. Everyone with a compatible headset has the opportunity to step into the Wasteland and experience Fallout 4 in a brand new way.

Revealed at Bethesda’s E3 2017 Showcase, DOOM VFR is a new virtual reality game from legendary developer id Software. This is everyone’s chance to truly shoot up and defeat dangerous enemies in the immersive virtual experience. Last year’s critically acclaimed DOOM, now allows players to get up close and personal with rampaging demons in DOOM VFR.

Both  DOOM VFR and Fallout 4 VR will be made available to gamers this year, so look forward to these titles if you have the PlayStation VR or HTC Vive headsets.
