The Cine-Analyst: Episode 13 – Legion

By Sara Roncero-MenendezJune 2, 2017

On this episode of the Cine-Analyst, we look at Legion, the subject of FX’s first Marvel show. David Haller has got something wrong with his head, but it’s less chemical than it is psychic. This super-powerful mutant finds freedom and love in a struggle between the government and mutants, but what will happen to him when he finds out who’s really moving and grooving in his head?

Here’s what we talk about this episode:

  • The 2-ego-1-body problem
  • How you manipulate a person into placation
  • Parasites and symbiosis, like you’re back in science class.
  • It’s all about the brain, no matter who it’s in.
  • Who is David talking to?

Tune in every Friday as I breakdown fictional characters and talk about what’s going on inside that brain of theirs. Are your favorite heroes crazy or just misunderstood? Find out on this season of The Cine-Analyst!

A reporter by trade, Sara is a lover of horror, sci-fi, and all things pop culture. From indies to classics to even the strangest schlock, all movies and TV shows are fair game. She believes Batman is the most fascinating superhero, and that Silent Hill is one of the best horror franchises ever made (as long as you don't count the movies). Fun Fact: The only movie Sara will not rewatch is The Room -- once was more than enough.
