Team 17: Yooka-Laylee Will ‘Not Support’ Xbox Play Anywhere

By Keith MitchellApril 9, 2017

It was originally reported by the Xbox Wire that the upcoming 3D platformer, Yooka-Laylee, would support Xbox Play Anywhere. Now it seems that isn’t the case at all, according to Team 17. They reached out to Game Informer and cleared the air, stating that the title will not support Xbox Play Anywhere.

Team 17 has informed us that the game will not support the Play Anywhere feature, despite the original Xbox Wire post’s claims. Additionally, the Windows 10 version of the game is now listed as “coming soon.”

I thought it was a bit odd that this was added, yet it was never mentioned. So if you were looking forward to that, sorry but that won’t be happening. We’ve updated the original story to reflect this as well.

Yooka-Laylee will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC when it releases on April 11th, 2017.

And if you missed it, check out the April Fools Yooka-Laylee rap, below. A bit of warning, it is definitely cringe-worthy.
