Thailand Stage And Several Costumes Coming To Street Fighter V

By Keith MitchellApril 19, 2017

While it may not be the Thailand stage that most Street Fighter fans were looking forward to, it’s still good to see a classic stage make its return. Sorry Sagat fans, this stage is the home of M.Bison, the evil leader of the Shadaloo. Maybe next time, right Capcom?

According to an update over at Capcom Unity, this stage has been faithfully recreated from the original Street Fighter II stage, for Street Fighter V. Everything is intact, from the statues, bells and even the background theme.

While I’m happy to see it return, I feel that we perhaps got a bit cheated here. You see, Capcom was toying with changing up the stage and were exploring setting this stage during a night time battle. In particular, they mentioned they had a version up where the stage would be lit up with candles that would interact with the battle. I’m going to guess that they would flicker when someone moved near them. I don’t know about you but that sounds pretty sweet and would have made for some interesting battles.

Thailand Street Fighter V Night Battle

The Thailand Stage will be available on April 25th, 2017 and priced at $3.99 or 70,000 Fight Money.

Capcom has also announced three new outfits for Chun-Li, Ryu, and Juri. These outfits will also be available on April 25th, 2017, for $3.99.
