Tekken 7’s Upcoming Season Pass Outlined

By Keith MitchellMarch 16, 2017

As mentioned previously, Tekken 7 will feature a season pass. As reported in our interview from PAX East 2017, Tekken 7 will also feature two guest characters from other games.  Which characters it will be are still unknown, though the Tekken 7 brand director did have some ideas. One of them being a certain character who’s hair rival’s Paul Phoenix.

In addition, all previous Tekken characters that make their return in Tekken 7 will be free. Only new characters will be included in future DLC for the game.kk

TEKKEN 7 continues to reveal its hidden secrets as BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe unveils today the additional content to be released from the game launch, on June 2nd.

The first batch, to be released this Summer 2017, will provide a brand-new game mode and more than 50 new costumes. The second and third batches of content, to be released respectively this Winter 2017 and next Spring 2018, will both feature one exclusive playable guest character from other videogames’ licenses with, each time, a special stage and special costumes for these guest characters.

This 3 post launch pieces of content will be purchasable individually but will also be available through the Season Pass that will grant to each buyers 35 exclusive metallic costumes.

During the coming year, all players from all platforms will also enjoy free characters panels they will be able to use to customize their favorite character’s image displayed during the loading screen. Through a partnership with various worldwide artists, each player will have its own way to defy its friends and rivals! Stay tuned for more info!

While this is just the Japanese information, expect the North American season pass to be similar.

The first DLC pack will be released during Summer 2017, followed up by DLC Pack 2 during Winter 2017. Finally, we’ll see the final DLC Pack sometime during Q1/Q2 2018. This is just for the first season pass and similar to other games, Tekken 7 may feature several season passes.

Tekken 7 will release on June 2nd, 2017, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
