Razer Reveals Their Portable 12,800 mAh Power Bank

By Keith MitchellFebruary 23, 2017

When I’m at a convention such as PAX East or New York Comic Com, I’m constantly worrying about my equipment dying. Between the DLSR, camcorder, tablet, smartphone and my PS Vita, I pretty much need a walking power company. And my poor battery banks simply can’t keep up, while larger ones might but they come at the cost of more weight. So I’m constantly walking the line of convenience vs necessity and it’s not a fun experience.

Well, Razer may just have a solution for people like me with their new Razer Power Bank. Recently announced today and is a 12,8000 mAh power supply. Originally developed with their Razer Stealth laptop in mind, the power bank can also power just about every mobile device you can think of. Well, expect laptops with proprietary connectors. What’s more,  it will feature Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 tech, and USB -A/C ports.

Apparently, this device can power most devices to up to 15 hours. Now, if that’s actually the case, then that’s damned good. Wouldn’t mind having one or two of these for when I have to head out to events. I can also see a few Nintendo Switch fans picking this up as well.

Product features:

  • Large 12,800mAh battery
  • USB-C laptop charging
  • Get up to 15hrs combined battery life with the Razer Blade Stealth
  • Dual USB-A ports for mobile device charging
  • Intelligent Device Detection
  • Qualcomm® Quick Charge 3.0 and fast charge technology
  • Durable and lightweight CNC aluminum

Razer is stating that the Razer Power Bank will be available as of March 2017 and is priced at $149.99. We’ve reached out to Razer to see if they’ll be at PAX East 2017, so we can hopefully get some footage and see the device in action for ourselves.
