Nintendo has revealed that Super Mario Run has been downloaded an astounding 40 million times. This is doubly impressive when you consider that the game has only been released on iPhone. With an Android release coming in 2017.
The game shot up to the top of of the charts in over 140 countries, and was in the top-grossing 10 top for apps in over 100.
Nintendo states it was the fastest rise to the 40 million milestone in App Store history. To put this into more perspective, Pokemon GO got 30 million in two weeks. That shows the power Mario has over the world.
