Gears of War 4 has officially gone gold


With less than a month to go until the release of Gears of War 4, Microsoft has announced that the title has gone gold! A celebrating marking the event was held today in the Microsoft Canada Excellence Centre in Vancouver, B.C., where Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, and Rod Fergusson, head of the Vancouver-based development studio The Coalition, responsible for the development of Gears of War. In addition, the Gears of War 4 launch trailer was also released today.

Gears of War 4 is an upcoming third-person shooter video game developed by The Coalition and published by Microsoft Studios for Microsoft Windows and Xbox One. While being the fifth title in the Gears of War series and the fourth main installment, it will be the first time a Gears of War title was not developed by Epic Games. Epic Games was original creator and developer of the Gears of Wars Franchise and dates by to the first Gears of War that debuted on the Xbox 360.

Gears of War 4 will be available on October 11, 2016, for both the Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs, thanks to the Microsoft Xbox Play Anywhere program.
