Injustice 2 Trailer Reveals Harley Quinn and Deadshot

By Tyler KelbaughAugust 17, 2016

It looks like the Suicide Squad won’t be getting a respite from the public eye anytime soon! The latest Injustice 2 trailer revealed two members of the Squad, Harley Quinn, and Deadshot, as playable fighters in NetherRealm’s new DC brawler.

Trailer shows a delightfully crazy Harley Quinn fighting the assassin Deadshot

Quinn is a returning fighter with a move set that looks familiar to what she had in Injustice: Gods Among Us. Still, she’s bringing some new tricks to the battlefield as well. Harley’s brought two hyenas to tear her foes apart in what one presumes is her full-meter special move. Her signature mallet makes a return appearance as well, although she has also brought a baseball bat this time around.

Harley is shown in a few different costume pieces, and players can mix and match them however they want. Her default is a biker outfit, complete with goggles atop her head, but players can give her the classic jester cap as well.

She’s joined by newcomer and fellow Squadmate, Deadshot, who brings high-powered guns to this superhero clash. He’s also no slouch at close quarter combat, unleashing powerful combos with his fists that usually end with bullets flying. The trailer shows him bouncing bullets off the ground and lifting opponents into the air in what could be a very potent combo starter. His full-meter special is jaw-dropping as well. It’s a spectacle worthy of the lethal assassin, complete with spine (and crotch) shattering blasts and a no-look headshot.

The trailer didn’t show any of his potential costume changes, although his standard get-up is pretty cool. He looks a lot like he does in his comic book appearances, although his red armor is a little bit heavier.

Harley Quinn and Deadshot join an already impressive cast. Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Atrocitus, Blue Beetle, Gorilla Grodd and Supergirl have already been confirmed.

There is no updated released date for Injustice 2, but it is coming to PS4 and Xbox One in 2017.
