Oops! Destiny Rise of Iron Ad Released Ahead of Time on Snapchat

By Keith MitchellJune 9, 2016

Someone had the idea to release an early ad of Bungie’s upcoming expansion, ahead of the official announcement. This confirms the prior leaks that pointed to Rise of Iron being the actual name of the expansion. While ad capture isn’t the best quality, it does confirm that rumored release date of September 20, 2016 was correct,  and that both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be the only systems that expansion will be released for.

The rocket launcher known as  Gjallarhorn will make its return as a pre-order bonus. Fans of Destiny will remember that the exotic item seller, Xur, had stopped selling the Gjallarhorn some time ago and replaced it with the Hawkmoon.

The official announcement and steam are taking place today at 10AM PDT/1PM EDT via Twitch, so expect more news regarding Destiny: Rise of Iron then.
