Boruto: Naruto the Movie’s Full Trailer Released!

By Josh PiedraJune 26, 2015

The full trailer for Boruto: Naruto the Movie has been released by Madman Entertainment.  The company began streaming the trailer back on Saturday and have even sub-titled it in English.

The tagline for the movie, which was provided by Shueisha is “The curtain rises on the legend that will surpass all!!”  They also go on to describe the film’s story as follows:

Boruto is the son of the seventh Hokage Naruto who completely rejects his father. Behind this, he has feelings of wanting to surpass Naruto, who is respected as a hero. He ends up meeting his father’s friend Sasuke, and requests to become… his apprentice!? The curtain rises on the story of the new generation written by Masashi Kishimoto!

Masashi Kishimoto is credited with the script, the original story, the character designs, and the role of chief production supervisor. Hiroyuki Yamashita is on board to direct the film as he has experience already directing some of the Naruto: Shippuuden TV Anime episodes for Studio Pierrot.  The film’s theme song will be “Diver” by KANA-BOON. KANA-BOON has also contributed to the television anime with their song “Silhouette” which served as the series’ 16th opening, running from episodes 380 to 405.

Tickets for the film go on sale June 27th and will open in theaters across Japan on August 7th.  People who attend the movie in theaters will get a choice of a special fan illustrated and designed by Masashi Kishimoto as a special gift. There are only 100,000 of these fans available!

If that wasn’t enough, the first two million people to watch the movie in a theater will also receive a special manga illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto himself, which details how Naruto became the Seventh Hokage! This part of the story was not in the original manga’s run.  Also, the book will also contain the 700th and final chapter of the original Naruto manga in full color.
