Help make Sonic 3 & Knuckles Remastered a reality

By Keith MitchellFebruary 23, 2015

Sonic 3 & Knuckles Remastered is exactly what it sounds like, a remastered version of the Genesis classic title from back in the day. A project that has been in development for some time by none other than Christian “Taxman” Whitehead and Simon “Stealth” Thomley. If those names seem familiar, they should be as they are the same dynamic duo that brought us the remastered versions of Sonic CD (my favorite), Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the iOS and Android platforms. Now they want to make lightening strike a 4th time with their latest project, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, for iOS and they need our help folks.

That’s right, they have a working prototype that they want to present to Sega, in hopes that Sega will green-light the title and get into our hands. However seems that the powers that be at Sega doesn’t feel that there is a demand for this title and we’re here to show them otherwise. Hey Sega, you need to check this game out. Not only have they done the game justice but they’ve given it an injection that it soley needed; Updated HD graphics, wide screen support, a completely remastered soundtrack, new levels, updated cut scenes and even new modes such as a time attack and online competition. This is the Sonic title that the fans need… no, this is the Sonic title that it’s fans demand!

So what can you do to help?

An online petition has been started and can found here. Make sure you sign it, letting Sega know that this needs to happen. Also be sure to drop by Stealth’s blog here, to check out the status of the project and the on-goings of the petition.

Taxman and Stealth, this is the real deal and you have 100% of our support. Let’s make this happen, Sega, take off those blinders and check this prototype out! For more info on the project, be sure to check out http://sonic3remastered.com/.
