OH it’s coming, Super Smash Bros Wii U that is. And what better way to smash the living hell out of your family and friends than to do it with a little Super Mario Bros rivalry. Currently up for preorder on Amazon.com are the Mario and Luigi Battle Pads from Hori. And if they look familiar then they should as they’ve the same shape as the infamous Nintendo Gamecube controller. And these controllers are styling with a red and blue scheme for Mario as well as a green and blue scheme for Luigi. And no there isn’t a Peach theme controller, at least not yet folks.
Both controllers are also compatible with Classic Controller, Classic Controller Pro supported titles and most Nintendo Virtual Console titles. Sadly they aren’t wireless however. Priced at $24.99 a piece these controllers look to be the perfect addition to any Wii U owner and will be right at home for Super Smash Bros Wii U, Bayonetta 2, Mario Kart 8 or even Hyrule Warriors.
