Looks like Comcept wants to give Beck from Mighty No.9 his very own rival. He’s name would be Ray (not the final name) and would be the Protoman or Bass so to speak (Yeah I said it) to Beck, he’s definitely needs one as it wouldn’t be the same. In a nut shell they have stated via their latest backer update that if they can reach an additional $190,000.00 via slacker backers or people who are donating to the cause after the Kickstarter has ended. The catch is they have to reach that goal by the end of this year, though given the success and the fact that this the game that many Megaman fans have been waiting for I doubt there will be any issues getting that $190k.
If you saw the teaser video from two weeks ago you would have caught a glimpse of the new character in the works, he looks like a distorted Beck or at least his face does. You can check that out – here.
If they reach that goal then everyone who backed the cause will receive a DLC code for an extra level and the boss later on in the summer of 2015. Looks like I’ll be digging into my wallet yet again. Sorry folks but there wasn’t any news regarding an updated beta just yet.
