Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Videos Galore! With Adachi, Marie, and Aigis

By William "Shadowz" KokSeptember 16, 2014

With the release of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax fast approaching, ATLUS today releases more character videos. With Adachi, Marie and Aigis, ATLUS also releases a story trailer which gives a peek of what’s to come and a battle system trailer which shows the new additions for the game

 The Story

If you hadn’t spoiled yourself with the Japanese version, then you are in for a treat. This is the  first time hearing the cut scenes in English. It is music to my ears.

The New System

Here, we get a first look at the Shadow versions of the characters. The Shadow Frenzy and the Shadow Burst is the main draw of this version. Having the awakened specials available from the get-go and connecting combos to take someone to half health, now  I’m really scared of EVO tournament players. We also get to see upgraded specials and the one button hold for specials. This is good for people who aren’t accustomed to fighting games and need an equalizer against the pros.

Tohru Adachi

We get to see more moves with Adachi and all I can say is that he is brutal. His grabs with Magatsu Izanagi and impales his opponents, ouch! Heat Riser has all of the elements at his disposal,  I’m sure another boss character in the Arc System Works catalog is proud of him.

 Marie

Marie is just adorable overall. We also get to see a bit more of her persona, Kaguya.  Her combos, while it not be flashy, gets the basics of dishing out pain. Heck, even her chocolates are deadly!

Aigis

And the Anti-Shadow Weapon, Aigis. Here, its all about juggling your opponents in the air. Another distance/zoning character aside from Yukari and Ken.  Her air special connecting in the end is just  beautiful. The Shadow version of her though is scary stuff.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax will be released on September 30, 2014 for PS3 and Xbox 360.

You can view the other character introductions here on The OuterHaven:
