Metal Gear Solid 5 is confirmed or Snake in a wheel chair chasing bad guys

By Keith MitchellJune 21, 2012

This is actually pretty funny, at least to me. Didn’t Hideo Kojima say that prior to Metal Gear Solid 4 that he didn’t want to make any more Metal Gear games and that hopefully #4 was the last? LOL, we all knew better didn’t we? We all knew that eventually Metal Gear Solid 5 was going to rear it’s ugly head and go “Hi Guys, I’m ready for another go”.

So what do we have to look forward to in the next iteration of MGS? Hideo says more sneaky stuff;

About Metal Gear Solid 5, I can tell you two things. There will be more infiltration, espionage, and convincing people to do you ‘a favor’ like in the last Metal Gear Solid.

Now I can’t imagine that Snake is going to be able to do anything of this stuff. Didn’t last time we see him he was an elderly, bitter man? Didn’t Big Boss / Naked Snake tell him to not get involved with warfare again? Looks like our buddy Solid Snake doesn’t listen to well. So far all we know is that MGS5 will involve Snake (Old Snake?) and will run off the Konami developed “FOX Engine”.

Now I’m all for continuing a series but let’s face it, Snake needs to either take a back seat due to his old age or they need to retcon everything after Metal Gear Solid 2 to make this more believable. Perhaps make it all seem like a bad dream and have Snake pop-up and ready for action.

Either way Hideo needs to stop trolling us regarding the ENmders Project and give us a “NEW” Zone of the Enders ;(
