If you’ve been following Outerhaven for a good amount of time, you know that I’m a huge fan of Death Battle. I love that these people came together to make a show that is all about the nerd community and trying to answer who would win in versus matches. It might have started out small, but it became one of the coolest things on the internet. So, when Rooster Teeth shut down, the fate of DB was anything but certain, and fans were seriously worried. I was one of those worried fans.
Then, a few days ago, things started to seem like they would turn around. Finally, today, Ben Singer, the creator of the show, noted on Twitter that he now owns the brand alongside other key DB personnel like Chad James, and they’re going to Kickstarter on July 30th to jump-start the show once again:
We’re planning to launch a crowdfund campaign to start new episodes! It will be to, quite literally, kickstart the show, so we won’t have some unattainable goal or anything. We have a solid plan to bring Death Battle back and we are so FREAKIN PUMPED for the future!!!!

Death Battle even dropped a special video to get you hyped for the KS release. I’m not afraid to say I cried watching this. That’s how much this show means to me:

You can sign-up for the “Save Death Battle” Kickstarter here. It’s already at a couple hundred followers, and that numbers is likely going to skyrocket. Oh, and if you want to take a trip to the past, here’s my selection of “Best Death Battle Episodes.” However…I might need to update the list…
