The End Of The World Beckons In Next Splatoon 3 Splatfest!

By Todd BlackMay 2, 2024
Splatoon 3, Splatfest

If you’ve been listening to the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast recently, you know that my co-hosts and I have been “complaining” about the recent Splatfest topics in Splatoon 3. They’ve been a bit…odd in recent times. To the point where I honestly couldn’t predict what they were going to do next with any degree of certainty. Sure enough, my expectations were proven correct once again, as Nintendo has dropped the next “theme” for May’s Splatfest event, and it focuses on what you will do…WHEN THE WORLD IS COMING TO AND END!!! Yep, this just got dark!

As you can see below, your “options” for your “end of the world spree” include doing the “same ol’, same ol’,” doing as much as you can on your bucket list…before you kick the bucket, or attempt to save the world from destruction.

The theme for the 16th Splatfest is in! It asks: "What would you do at the world's end?" Same Ol', Bucket List, or Save the Day?

It's an ominous theme, but fortunately hypothetical, so you can participate worry-free.

This event runs from 5/17 at 5pm until 5/19 5pm PT! pic.twitter.com/Bfpxm4fEhM

This is going to be so weird…and who knows who will win this? Stay tuned to NEP to hear our debate on the topic before the Splatfest drops in a few weeks!
