Extended Look at Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn Shown and It Looks Yummy

This game is shaping up to be one of the better Soulslikes of 2024

Flintlock the Siege of Dawn _ Extended Gameplay Overview

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is an upcoming Soulslike title from A44 Games, the developer that also produced Ashen. I’ve been looking forward to it for the past few years, and it is one of my anticipated titles of 2024. It was initially slated for a 2023 release date but was delayed. However, recently, the developer has shown off an extended gameplay video of the title.

This extended gameplay shows off nine minutes of the game and showcases several things, including a bit of the backstory, gameplay mechanics, the upgrades and customization system, and more.

Check out the Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn gameplay here.

While Flintlook: The Siege of Dawn doesn’t have a release date, the game is slated for a Summer 2024 release date. That said, I really hope this doesn’t get released alongside the release date of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree cause that might be a dilemma.

This game looks to be the lovechild of Devil May Cry, Elden Ring, and Mega Man. Combat is fast and features a combo style system – the more stylish you fight, the better your score, which will double as currency. The game features an open world that beckons players to explore it and will include optional dungeons and secret areas. When you defeat bosses, you’ll acquire their powers and add them to your own, hence the Mega Man bit. It looks juicy and exciting. Did I mention you’ll have a companion who looks even cuter than a fox?

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn will be released for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store).
