Today, the team behind Orbitals, Tokyo-based developer Shapefarm, and video game publisher Kepler Interactive have announced that Orbitals will be showing up at Japan Expo Paris. That is not all. They have also announced the situation with voices and localization.
In Orbitals, fans can look forward to localized VO in English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, French, Spanish, LatAm Spanish, German, and Brazilian Portuguese. Each cast ensemble has been carefully selected to elevate the fun-filled sci-fi adventure, authentically bringing to life an all-new, retro anime-inspired universe. The English language cast includes:
- Rebecca Wang is Maki, a strong-headed mechanic and the youngest person in the Settlement.
- Stephen Fu is Omura, a quiet cartographer often lost in his own train of thought. Omura and Maki grew up in the Settlement together, like twins.
- Jonathan Ha is Togen, the quiet and reserved leader of the Settlement.
- Cassie Ewulu is Kinakoko, a loud and blunt mechanic who is kind… but in a rough way!
- Brent Mukai is Jaga, a larger-than-life merchant who Maki and Omura encounters during their adventure.
Additionally, the Japanese voice cast includes Risa Kageyama, Ryota Ōsaka, Masaaki Mizunaka, Mayumi Oda, Tatsuya Kobayashi, and more.
Fans in France can also experience more of Orbitals this week at Japan Expo Paris. Alongside the opportunity to play the game for the first time at Nintendo’s booth across all three days, at 1:15pm on Saturday 11th July fans can also attend the panel ‘Orbitals | Rencontre avec les voix françaises’ on the TAKE stage, in which popular creator and anime fan Sora discusses voice acting with Orbitals actors Amandine Barbier (Maki), Victor Niverd (Omura), Brigitte Lecordier (Kinakoko), and Mathias Siedel, Directeur de Production at Studio Anatole
Orbitals will launch exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 on September 3rd, 2026, and is available to pre-order now. A physical edition will launch alongside the digital edition of the game, and fans can also purchase the Digital Deluxe edition, which includes additional digital bonuses.
