Lost Spear Gets A January 2018 Release Date

By Keith MitchellJuly 25, 2017

The previously announced RPG from I Am Setsuna developer, Tokyo RPG Factory, now has a release date. Set to launch on January 23rd, 2018, Lost Spear, will be available on the PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

In Lost Spear, players will journey to a mystical world that is being threatened by some unknown phenomenon, that has been named the “Lost”. However, instead of leaving destruction and chaos in its wake, the Lost is far more menacing. When the Lost inhibits parts of the world, it completely vanishes. Talk about the ending of everything. It is that the game’s hero, Kanata, steps in. For Kanata has the power of Memory, which will let him restore the portions of the world that have become lost. So, your job as Kanata is to stop the world from completely disappearing and repairing the damage that has already been inflicted.

Players who pre-order the title via the PlayStation Store will pick up a bonus “Memories of the Moon. Then once the game is released, they’ll receive two more  musical tracks – “Market Town Marpenning” and “Town of Elgarthe.” Square Enix is also selling a physical copy of the game (PS4/Switch) but in limited quantities via the Square Enix Online Store. So if you like your physical games, I’d head over there now before they’re sold out.
