Top 5 Video Games You Should Be Playing in February 2024

February 2024 is a loaded month

While January 2024 gave us some bangers, such as Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Tekken 8, and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, it’s time to see what February 2024 has in store for us video game lovers, and it’s quite a bit. There’s plenty to play this month from three anticipated RPGs, the rebirth of a PlayStation/PC shooter, and a classic Nintendo title that has been given a remake. But enough talk, let’s take a look at the top 5 video games you should be playing in February 2024, in no particular order.

Granblue Fantasy: ReLink

Granblue Fantasy: ReLink is a highly anticipated title due to the West finally getting to dig around the world of Granblue Fantasy. These characters are highly loved by those of us who have played Granblue Fantasy: Versus, and it’s a fantastic choice to give us an action RPG to be able to explore the world and its story. The action gameplay is engaging, and link attacks and party setups give us a unique way to replay it. Having so many playable characters in the world is exciting! If you’ve never stepped into the world of Granblue Fantasy, this gem will be your first massive step and one you won’t forget.

Platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC
Release Date: February 1, 2024

Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth

Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII Remake largely met fans’ lofty expectations for reimagining a classic JRPG when it arrived in 2020. And while it was greatly loved, the remake only adapted the Midgar section of the original. As such, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has people even more excited since it brings the lion’s share of the 1997 game into the 21st century. This could very well mark the high point of the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy.
Platforms: PlayStation 5
Release Date: February 29, 2024

Persona 3 Reload

This is a remake that Persona fans have long waited for. It was a pivotal game for the series, and to see it brought to the current generation with revamped graphics and gameplay is enough to warrant another trip to the Dark Hour. The theme of Death and Memento Mori is why this game has stuck with fans for so long.

Platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC (Steam)
Release Date: February 2, 2024

Helldivers II

The original Helldivers was an interesting experiment that pitted players against massive giant bugs, similar to the cult classic movie Starship Troopers. With the follow-up, it seems the gameplay hasn’t changed much. However, the visuals have shifted from the top-down isometric view from the original game to the third-person shooter perspective that looks to capitalize off of games such as Destiny and Warframe.

Platforms: PlayStation 5, PC (Steam)
Release Date: February 8, 2024

Mario vs. Donkey Kong

Mario and Donkey Kong are back at it again in a remake of the 2004 puzzle platforming title for the Nintendo Gameboy Advance, Mario vs. Donkey Kong. Two will be at each other’s throats like last time, with new visuals and a few new levels. For those who missed out on this classic title, now is the perfect time to see why these two are so upset at each other with the remake on the Nintendo Switch.

Platforms: Nintendo Switch
Release Date: February 16, 2024

Which of these titles are you looking forward to playing? A few? All of them? Let us know in the comments, and game on!
