Arc System Works has released a new update for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls that addresses several performance and stability issues affecting the PC version of the game. The update follows our previous report on the PC performance issues affecting Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, including frame drops, slowdown, and other problems reported by players.
According to Arc System Works, the following fixes have been implemented to reduce overall CPU usage. This includes an issue that caused high CPU usage during the startup process, along with additional system load caused by periodic audio processing during matches.
The developer also identified an issue where the game repeatedly checked for available audio inputs. These unnecessary checks could result in sudden frame drops and performance issues, and have now been addressed.
An additional fix addresses frame rate drops that occurred when certain resolutions were selected.
The update also includes several bug fixes. Battle Settings will no longer revert to default after restarting the game with certain customization items or colors enabled. Arc System Works has also fixed an Online Lobby issue where changing attack button displays to action icons could cause some buttons to become unresponsive during lobby mini-games.
PC players will also be prompted to warm up their shaders again after installing the latest update. Arc System Works recommends completing the shader warm-up process for a smoother experience.
The game’s automatic graphics quality detection has also been improved, allowing Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls to select a graphics profile that better matches the player’s system.
Hopefully, these fixes address the problems, as Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is currently sitting at a Very Negative rating on Steam, with scores of PC players frustrated by the state of the game at launch.
Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is available on PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam).
