The Hulk is back in a fighting game, and it’s with his pals in Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls: Captain America, Iron Man, and Black Panther. From the look of things, Hulk is enjoying his time in the Savage Land with his new look. Gameplay wise, Hulk is a bully here who doesn’t take any slack. And yes, the featured image is an actual screenshot from Marvel Tokon. And Arc System Works delivered the Character Guide.
He seems to be putting on the high-pressure game. The giant gets armor for some moves thanks to Gamma Rage – the Gamma Levels get raised to help with attack strength and additional moves. Gamma Rage is an install that needs 3 levels inorder to give armor to the Hulk. Gamma Spark can absorb projectiles and up the level. In the words of RDJ Tony Stark, they definitely have a Hulk.
Hulk also gets a stomp move that can hit across the screen for grounded targets. His normals on Gamma Rage can get unblockable and armor properties – which feels like a first for the game. When he does have Gamma Rage on, Hulk does his famous slam from the MCU movies for his Rampage super. Even Gamma Bomb – his Ultimate – gets boosted by this. It also loads up the Gamma Rage if one isn’t in Gamma Rage as it is.
Assist wise, Hulk’s Gamma Rage install can bypass even projectile hits. His shooter and vertical will still go through on Gamma Rage. The Assault grab does that, too. Possibly the best character to take things on in the team.
Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls launches on August 6, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and PC.
