Street Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Fighters Edition Will Also Be Released on Other Platforms

Capcom announced that Street Fighter VI: Years 1-2 Fighters Edition will also be available for other systems outside of the Nintendo Switch 2. At first, Fighters Edition looked to be an exclusive for the Nintendo Switch 2, but this seems to be not the case. Similarly, Marvel Vs Capcom Fighting Collection was also announced in the same fashion for a Nintendo Direct, only to be stated to appear on other systems not too long after.

All original launch systems will be getting the updated version with both Year 1 and Year 2 passes in tow. The original modes promised to the Switch 2 will still stay on the system.  For those who have been waiting or on the fence about the game, this is probably the best time to jump into the World Warriors tournament before Year 3 is revealed.

The Street Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Fighters Edition arrives on June 5 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2!

Capcom and Nintendo have also had a demo for the Switch 2‘s version of the game, including the gyro and calorie contest modes on their Treehouse presentation for a bit more of a drill-down with Dhalsim and Luke. The Switch 2 edition seems to be more like the PlayStation 4 version with some backgrounds missing additional bystanders which were in the current-gen versions of the game. Gone is the lady getting her fortune told in China, and some of the London folks who were onlookers, for instance.

Treehouse’s build also seems to be that which did not include all of Year 2’s characters. Bison was the only one present. Terry and Mai seemed to be omitted here. Elena has yet to be seen in the official renders.

Even the amiibos were on stage to get compared to both Smash Bros Ultimate Street Fighter character amiibos Ryu and Ken. The Street Fighter 6 Amiibos feel a bit bigger than their counterparts, from the look of things. Luke, Jamie, and Kimberly are here to start the show. These will unlock different items in the game, such as music and outfit colors.
